I heard this in an underage dance club for the first time in Portland Oregon way Way WAY back. The remaster is so good but the original had some dirty sound, a bit of distortion that seems to be cleaned up here.

I could never get on with The Smiths, everything about Morrisey annoys me. He's so far up his arse he's coming out of his own mouth. Marr's guitar work was always fabulous, though, and the echo guitar intro to How Soon is Now was mindblowing when it came out. Just looked back, and a bunch of my favourite albums came out in '84. I think I might be getting old.

It's amazing how the guitarist turned into one of the world's best, and the vocalist turned into a sad wannabe Nazi.

The 80's were a new era in music. British alternative and American rock. MTV actually played music videos and awesome talk and game shows. A great time to be in your 20's.

Most people just won’t understand how it was in the 80s. You couldn’t taste it, you couldn’t see it. You just had to feel it.

You’re at the club and unless a person is 3 feet away NO ONE could talk to you. No phone, no internet, cameras the size of bricks, we were literally living in the moment.

80s hair was iconic. I do miss that look (and the music) - although I'm a child of the 50s and 60s.

I don't recall every guy looking so feminine in those days. Maybe it's unique to this club.
